For over a year now the bridge in Wilderness Park between Old Cheney and Pioneers has been out of commission. Having the bridge down has greatly hindered the usability of the multi-use trails we all cherish. But with the help of Lincoln Parks and Rec, Great Plains Trail Network, Friends of Wilderness Park, and others, the ability to have the bridge repaired is almost upon us. But a little more is needed yet. Parks and Rec are applying for more grants to help fund the bridge repair and they need our letters of support. A simple email stating how the bridge is an important part of the park is all. Send your email to [email protected] by Sept. 25 and help us spread the word!
